This Morning

November 15, 2008

Here’s Ed with both dogs :)
Bella on the left and Floyd on the right.

Lucy, my sister’s dog, didn’t come for the walk this morning. But we met plenty of other dogs along the path today: a dalmatian, a pitbull, a westie, a beagle, two mini-pins, and a few other mixes and breeds I don’t know. It’s such a great walk and such a great way to tire the dogs out so we can have some peace during the day.

Dogs look cute, landscape is cool, but , most impressive is the short sleeved shirt on Ed. We’re starting to freeze here in Michigan, and bringing out the parkas. Big snow flakes on the cars this morning. Very pretty, though. Do you recall all this cold stuff, Judith? = )
Is this path something you have to travel to, or is it walking distance from your home?
    It looks great.

It’s been in the 60s and 70s here lately.. the weather has been beautiful really. This path is really nice. It winds between a series of small parks within a larger planned residential community. It has terrific views of the Strip because it’s up in the hills a bit, and the whole path stays far away from the streets.

It’s walking distance from our house, but you have to cross a major highway/street to get there and it would add an extra hour or so to the walk, so we usually just pile everyone in the car and drive the five minutes to the first park. We’ve been walking it every morning since Bella came into the picture, and it’s been a pleasure.

It’s a really great walk. We always meet other dog walkers, too :)

Got something to say?
