    What’s amusing is how the majority of the commenters didn’t acknowledge the many “go naked” adds involving men (in fact, they openly denied their existence), and how some began their tangential lines of reasoning about how PETA is exploiting the intersection between race and gender with “PETA seems to be highlighting her butt.” It’s theorizing without evidence.

    Great going Elaine! I really like it - I never had too much of a problem with PETA nude campaign; I always figured the more ways you can say killing animals is wrong the better. That’s a great collection of images and videos - A work of art in it’s own… so to speak. But… hang tight, you’ll probably get blasted for presenting it - just as PETA gets blasted for doing it… Oh Well - Speak your own truth.

    i’m not a big fan of the nude PETA stuff either, but my larger problem with them is their stance on shelter animals and their activism to kill as many as possible.

    i do appreciate a lot of the other stuff they do, but their shelter animal position is just plain wrong and really depressing…

    They did do a slightly more nuanced post in October regarding the naked ads. Ann falsely states “they’re predominantly women featured in these ads and at these protests”. Looking at your site, it seems that the ads are pretty evenly divided.

    Ms Jared, I agree with you that the MAJOR problem with PETA is that they don’t promote the no kill philosophy. Killing animals is divisive. They can’t get around that fact.
